The Skin Clinic is located in the middle of beautiful Williamstown MA and provides a full range of dermatology services. However, too often, we feel, medicine is relegated to the status of a business. William Osler one of the founders of Johns Hopkins Medical School wrote: “…We are here not to get all we can out of life for ourselves, but to try to make the lives of others happier. The practice of medicine is an art not a trade; a calling not a business; a calling in which your heart will be exercised equally with your head. Often the best part of your work will have nothing to do with powders or potions.”

We have been fortunate to walk in Osler’s Shadow and his principles guide us in our dermatology practice. The office philosophy holds that “diseases do not make appointments.” Too often, when the day for the office visit arrives, the problem has resolved itself. Our staff feels that this practice should be available when your problem is acute and we will strive to be of service to all in need of emergency care and attention.
